Gloria is getting sooo annoying these days. I’m bothered about ur country’s current situation. And so should you. Like what one prof said, apathy and ignorance are going to kill us. And so I say, No to apathy! No to ignorance! Oppose what needs to be opposed! Fight for what needs to be fought!

But no, I won’t be joining any activist groups nor will I be part of any rallies/protest marches. For me, it’s enough to be aware of what’s happening and to speak out your beliefs.

Hmm.. Still haven’t watched Final Destination 3. I wonder if it would be worth the ticket price. hehe. Last Saturday I tagged along with my ‘rents to watch Memoirs of a Geisha. It was practically boooring, save for that part where Zang Zi Yi performs amidst a rain of cherry blossoms…

I’m getting sleepy now, I can’t think of anything else to write… Till then, au revoir.. Sorry if my thoughts all seem so random and incoherent…hahaha…. lalala.

Stardust~

It’s a brilliant, enchanting, and wondrous novel by Neil Gaiman. And to think I had never been a fan of a romantic novel before… This one just blew me away into the romantic realm of Faerie (I dunno why, but I just loooove the way it is spelled… ‘Fairy’ seems so plain, so un-magical. heehee).

By coincidence, I found this wonderful faerie site, Amazing Terrains, and one particular image, entitled Midnight Ride, reminds me of the Star, riding the tragic but noble unicorn… *sighs*
Midnightride

If ever you come across this book (or any other work by Neil Gaiman), do take it immediately. Trust me, it’s all worth it. :-)

Yay!!! I finally found time to post here again! Anyway, since it’s the so-called Love Month, I thought of sharing these witty/funny love quotes I found:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Infatuation is when you think he’s as sexy as Robert Redford, as smart as Henry Kissinger, as noble as Ralph Nader, as funny as Woody Allen, and as athletic as Jimmy Conners.  Love is when you realize that he’s as sexy as Woody Allen, as smart as Jimmy Connors, as funny as Ralph Nader, as athletic as Henry Kissinger and nothing like Robert Redford - but you’ll take him anyway.
~Judith Viorst, Redbook, 1975
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love is only a dirty trick played on us to achieve continuation of the species.
~W. Somerset Maugham, A Writer’s Notebook, 1949

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love is the word used to label the sexual excitement of the young, the habituation of the middle-aged, and the mutual dependence of the old.
~John Ciardi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It would be impossible to "love" anyone or anything one knew completely.  Love is directed towards what lies hidden in its object.  ~Paul Valéry, Tel quel, 1943
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.  ~Robert Frost
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.  ~Zora Neale Hurston

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will you love me in December as you do in May,
Will you love me in the good old fashioned way?
When my hair has all turned gray,
Will you kiss me then and say,
That you love me in December as you do in May?
~James J. Walker
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.  ~Author Unknown
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love is not blind - it sees more, not less.  But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.  ~Rabbi Julins Gordon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle and fans the bonfire.  ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good too.
~Greg, age 8
